Customer is a USA based IT consulting company offering cost effective CRM and mobility solutions which help companies run IT projects more effectively, save time and money, free up critical resources, deliver projects on time.


Eclipse SP was assigned to combine cartographic and informational services rendering into a single fast and easy-to-use system surpassing today’s analogues in speed and quality. After careful analysis of project’s goals, Eclipse SP has come up with the solution that would best fit requirements of the project. Software architecture played an important role in the project’s success and its future extensibility. When the plan for technical development was completed, a group of skilled developers has taken place in the development process.


As the result of work, which took about 40 man-months, Eclipse SP team has produced an easy-to-use system with an exclusive geographic engine that allows fast data communications between servers and clients. At present, Web-Site enlists over 30 geographically interesting map layers that are absent in most of the today map systems.


Main features of the solution are:

• Interactivity: the map client developed for Web-Site does not have equivalents. The Web-Site Viewer’s navigation abilities allow browsing without reloads and is equipped with the smart-update feature that allows loading of data once and using it through the entire map session.
• Extensibility: administrators of the system can perform massive geographical data uploads that will immediately appear on the map. Web-Site understands the Global Positioning System (GPS), which allows using of latest hi-tech devices to snapshot pieces of land and add them to the system on-the-fly.
• Advanced Geo Caching System (AGCS): server response times were very high on the first stage of development. Eclipse SP has analyzed the problem and designed a caching system that made possible to reduce the response times for 700-800 percent.
• Smart Updates Feature: Web-Site viewer allows downloading of items and re-using them — you never have to reload the same data again. The system provides various scale levels that allow having of close-up view and automatic or manual updates.
